Dr. Jungwoo Lee, Ph.D. is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of South 8 Technologies, leading the development, production, and testing of advanced products using the novel LiGas® technology. She is a subject matter expert in the field of lithium batteries, earning her Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego for research on solid-state batteries and pioneering battery characterization techniques. She has several scientific publications and patents. Previously, she was as an Optical Engineer at Panasonic developing laser systems and device processing techniques to support the production of multiple product lines as well as a Research Engineer with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology managing device development, fabrication, and testing of emerging solar cell technologies.
