Amai champions sustainability with an innovative, edible cup made from upcycled ingredients, embodying our solution to address global waste. With a one-two punch to mitigate climate change, Amai repurposes discarded grains from the brewing industry into a 100% biodegradable single-use alternative to traditional paper and plastic cups.

Honored to be voted by the public as one of the TOP 8 Coolest Things Made in California, Amai’s cross-industry team has developed a product that is as nutritious and delicious as it is planet friendly.

Amai’s edible cups can hold water up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit, are thermal resistant, and can hold liquids up to 48 hours without leaking. Extremely durable, the cups stand up to freezing and refrigeration, are all vegan and soy-nut-dairy-free. Amai’s operation dovetails with California’s legislative efforts to curb waste, showcasing a direct contribution to reducing GHG emissions and food waste, in line with SB#1383 and SB#54.

Suitable for cold and hot beverages, desserts, and yogurt parfaits, these patent-pending containers are a testament to versatility bridging the gap between functionality and eco-friendliness.

Amai is scaling their operation to one million units per month to meet growing demand.
