Jeannine Davison is Founder and CEO of Amai. The San Diego start up champions sustainability with an innovative edible cup made from upcycled ingredients, embodying her solution to address global waste. With a one-two punch to mitigate climate change, Amai repurposes discarded grains from the brewing industry into a 100% biodegradable single-use alternative to traditional paper and plastic cups.
Honored to be voted by the public as one of the TOP 8 Coolest Things Made in California, Jeannine has lead Amai’s cross-industry team in developing a product that is as delicious and nutritious as it is environmentally friendly.
Over the past two years, Amai cups have undergone successful test marketing with clients like Google, Hilton, and Live Nation. With interest from major players across several industries, Amai is now poised for expansion, positioning the company for significant market penetration in hospitality and California K-12 schools.
Prior to Amai, Jeannine was the GM & VP of Operations at Panasonic Hollywood Labs and involved in the successful launch of the DVD and Blu-ray formats. She earned her MBA from USC and her Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. With over thirty years experience in product development through high-volume manufacturing, Jeannine is excited to embark on the next phase of growth for Amai, scaling operations to more than one million cups per month to meet growing demand.
Jeannine resides in Carlsbad, Ca with her husband, Co-Founder of Amai, and their teenage son. During her downtime she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, gardening, live music, and travel.
