Senior Associate at Booz Allen Ventures

Kerry Chin is a technology consultant and leader at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she has been employed for over six years. She is a founding member of Booz Allen Ventures, a $100M corporate venture capital fund focusing on early-stage investments. Kerry spearheads the artificial intelligence vertical, investing in hardware and software startups that offer a wide range of solutions for the federal sector relating to national security. Booz Allen Ventures’ portfolio companies include Latent AI, Synthetaic, and CredoAI. Kerry also leads the Tech Scouting program, which identifies and recommends technology investments for internal Booz Allen sectors and external federal clients alike. The Tech Scouting team’s primary objective is to identify emerging and viable technologies relevant to clients’ mission challenges, down select and thoroughly vet solutions, and make actionable technology recommendations to mitigate and/or alleviate those challenges. Kerry has worked with many agencies, including the U.S Army, Air Force, NASA, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Defense Health Agency (DHA). She organized numerous hackathons across the U.S. in partnership with the Department of Defense to promote rapid prototyping and ideation. Prior to joining Booz Allen, Kerry worked as a firmware engineer for consumer devices at Synaptics, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a Master of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
