Kiana Aran is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Keck Graduate Institute and Chief Innovation Officer at Paragraf. She was the cofounder and former CSO of Cardea bio (now Paragraf), as well as the cofounder of CRISPR QC. Prof. Aran work focuses on developing bio-integrated electronic platforms, using 2D nanomaterials, for multiomics diagnostics and precision medicine. She is the recipient of many national and international awards including Clinical OMICs 10 under 40 Award, Athena Pinnacle Award in Life Sciences, Society of Women San Diego distinguished engineer award, NSF Career award, Nature Research Awards for Inspiring Women in Science: Scientific Achievement Category’s Overall Winner, Distinguished Engineering Medal of Excellence from Rutgers University and is a member of World.minds. She is also the recipient of multiple NIH RO1, DARPA, NASA and Gate Foundation grants and awards from the private sector to develop the next generation of electronic biosensors for precision medicine.
