Founder and Managing Partner at Harpoon Ventures

Larsen Jensen is the founder and managing partner of Harpoon Ventures, a San Diego based venture capital firm focused on early-stage technology companies. With a background that includes achievements in both athletics and finance, Larsen’s journey has been marked by notable accomplishments.

Before entering the world of venture capital, Larsen earned recognition as a competitive swimmer, winning a silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games, a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games, as well as two silver medals in the 2005 World Championships and six U.S. National Championships under his belt. Larsen still holds the American Record in the 400m event, a testament to his enduring legacy in American swimming.Following his Olympic journey in 2008, Larsen decided to transition to a career in the U.S. Navy, where he completed SEAL BUD/S training as OIC of Class 281. From the years spanning 2009 to 2015, he participated in various deployments and training missions.After completing his service with the Navy in 2015, Larsen pursued higher education, obtaining an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He then began his venture capital journey at Andreessen Horowitz, before becoming a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners. He founded Harpoon Ventures in 2018.
